The official integration
MailerLite publishes "MailerLite – WooCommerce integration" on WordPress.org. On October 10, 2026 it was at version 3.1.27, had 30,000+ active installs and a rating of 2.8 out of 5 from 64 ratings: 23 five-star and 30 one-star. The directory noted that it had not been tested with the latest three major WordPress releases.
Its feature list covers a newsletter checkbox at checkout, product import for product blocks, sending orders to MailerLite for e-commerce segments and purchase automations, abandoned cart emails and pop-ups. E-commerce tracking needs a WooCommerce REST API key with read rights in addition to the MailerLite token.
Common problems
The plugin's support forum on WordPress.org repeats a few themes. In the two months before our check, none of 3 support threads were marked resolved.
- Orders and subscribers not arriving: "WooCommerce → MailerLite sync not working after purchase", "Add subscribers after checkout issue", "Products not syncing".
- Block checkout and express payments: "Blocks + Apple Pay: paid orders skip MailerLite unless email is typed".
- Checkout breakage: "Plugin causes checkout page to not load", "jQuery Errors on checkout in 3.0.8", "WooCommerce Checkout – Product Quantity Update Blocked by MailerLite".
- Errors after updates: "MailerLite for WooCommerce 3.1.27 causes blank WordPress Plugins page", "Settings got erased after update", PHP memory limit errors.
- Abandoned carts: reviews from 2025 report abandoned cart emails and order updates not working after updates.
In the sync thread above, MailerLite's reply asked the store owner to contact support privately; the thread does not say what the cause was.
Alternatives
- Automation platforms such as Zapier or Make can add WooCommerce customers to a MailerLite group. A typical recipe creates or updates a subscriber; MailerLite e-commerce orders, products and abandoned carts need extra steps or are not covered, and runs are billed per task.
- Connector plugins such as WP Fusion or MailOptin link WooCommerce, memberships and subscriptions with many email tools, MailerLite included. Their model is groups and custom fields on the subscriber rather than MailerLite's e-commerce orders and products.
- Abandoned cart plugins for WooCommerce send recovery emails from WordPress itself. They work without MailerLite, but the emails then live outside the MailerLite account and its reports.
What to check before choosing
- Does the store use the block checkout or express payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay)? Test that a paid order reaches MailerLite with each payment method.
- Does a paid order stop the abandoned cart automation, or does the shopper still get "you left something in your cart"?
- What happens when MailerLite is unreachable for a few minutes: is the order sent later, or lost?
- Are customers without newsletter consent kept out of the subscriber list?
- Is there a place in WordPress that shows which orders did not reach MailerLite, and why?
Ulte Mail Sync
Ulte Mail Sync is built around those checks. Orders, carts, products and opted-in customers go through a queue that retries until MailerLite accepts them; a paid order completes the matching abandoned cart instead of creating a second order; the block checkout and the classic checkout are both supported; and every change that cannot be delivered is listed in WooCommerce with MailerLite's reason. It is in early access, free up to 50 paid orders a month.
