What is sent
| WooCommerce | MailerLite | When |
|---|---|---|
| Order: email, name, items, total, status | E-commerce order, customer with order count and total spent | When the order is placed and when it is paid |
| Cart with an email entered at checkout | Unpaid order that starts the abandoned cart automation | When the shopper enters or changes the email or the cart |
| Product: name, price, link, image, short description | E-commerce product for product blocks and segments | When the product is published or changed |
| Customer who ticked the newsletter checkbox | Subscriber, optionally in a chosen group | With the order |
A comparison with the official MailerLite plugin and other options is on the MailerLite and WooCommerce integration page.
Prices, stock and product data in WooCommerce are never changed. Data goes one way: from the store to MailerLite.
Abandoned carts
When a shopper types an email at checkout and leaves, the cart goes to MailerLite as an unpaid order, which is what MailerLite's abandoned cart automation listens for. When the same shopper pays, that unpaid order is marked complete instead of a second order being created, so the automation stops and revenue is counted once.
Works with the block checkout and the classic checkout. A cart is sent again only when its email or contents change.
Newsletter consent
A newsletter checkbox is added to both checkouts, with an editable label. By default only customers who tick it become subscribers. Orders of other customers are still recorded in MailerLite e-commerce as customers who do not accept marketing, so revenue reports stay complete. Adding every customer as a subscriber is a separate setting, for stores that collect consent elsewhere.
Nothing lost
- Every change is sent at once. If MailerLite or the store is unreachable, it is sent again automatically with growing delays.
- MailerLite's limit of 120 requests per minute is respected, so history imports and busy days do not fail half way.
- Each change that cannot be delivered is listed in WooCommerce → Mail Sync with the reason from MailerLite, and can be sent again with one click.
- A revoked or expired API token stops sending and shows a clear message; changes wait until a new token is saved.
Setup
- Install and activate the plugin. WooCommerce must be active.
- In MailerLite open Integrations → MailerLite API and generate a token.
- In WooCommerce → Mail Sync paste the token and click Connect. The MailerLite e-commerce shop is created automatically.
- Optionally import products and paid orders from the last 12 months.
If the MailerLite account restricts API access by IP address, the Ulte service addresses must be on the allowed list: 46.225.79.21 and 2a01:4f8:1c19:2e91::1.
Pricing
The limit counts paid orders per calendar month. Abandoned carts, products and subscribers are not limited on any plan.
| Plan | Paid orders a month | Monthly | Yearly |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 50 | $0 | $0 |
| Starter | 500 | $9 | $90 |
| Growth | 2,500 | $19 | $190 |
| Pro | Unlimited | $39 | $390 |
Prices in USD before tax. The plan is chosen and changed in WooCommerce → Mail Sync; payment is handled by Stripe, which adds VAT or sales tax where required and issues the invoice. Orders above the limit are not lost: they wait and are sent right after an upgrade, or on the 1st of the next month. Details in the terms of service.
Questions
Which MailerLite plan is needed?
A plan with API and e-commerce access. On the free plan MailerLite limits the API.
Is the MailerLite token stored in WordPress?
No. It is sent once to the Ulte service, stored encrypted and used only to send this store's data to MailerLite. Disconnecting or uninstalling the plugin deletes it.
Where is the data processed?
On Ulte servers in the EU (Hetzner, Germany and Finland), then in the MailerLite account that owns the token. Details in the privacy policy.
Is there a Mailchimp version?
Yes: Ulte Mail Sync for Mailchimp works the same way, with the same plans.
Does it need WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage?
No. It works with both order storage modes.
